In her artistic practice, Lies Caeyers explores how identity can be constructed and shifted through images, objects, experiences and techniques.

Her practice unfolds through five recurring frameworks: Origin, Kabinet, Studio, Lab and Factory. These conceptual spaces do not function as fixed categories, but as a flexible and intuitive framework in which ideas, materials and ways of working continuously intersect, overlap and influence one another. The structure offers direction, but not a destination. Individual works may move between these perspectives or be read from different points of view.

Origin explores how the individual emerges as image, code or model.

Kabinet emerges from collecting, preserving and associating to generate value and meaning.

Studio considers experiences and techniques as tools for relating to one's origins, métier and tradition.

Lab places the individual within existing systems and examines how a position is negotiated from within them.

Factory questions how identity and authorship circulate as brand, product and commodity.
